Don't think it's about an improved contract. He goes into the last year of his deal and can be negotiating that anyway. I think he just wants out. Possibly sees his job next year becoming very difficult with Asiata and O'Donnell either side of him.
If he is allowed to go to another SL club, then it is an almighty cock up on Leigh's part with his contract.

That's a good point, but we don't know who is coming in yet. It could also be the case for him wanting to better his contract, to maybe match, or bring in line with other high earn players i.e. Moylan, Armstrong, or any others who are coming in. Apart from last week, his form has not been the same as it was. This needs ironing out asap.
After saying that, Lam Snr looked quite happy and relaxed in his pre-match interview yesterday. The club like to play cloak & daggers too. Watch this space i guess.

He might want an improved contract, but there are ways to go about it, and having a contractual dispute with the club isn't it. He could ask for a contract extension, and if he was willing to not have any clauses effective till the end of 2026, he'd likely be paid handsomely given his fed trained status and marquee contract.
I'll be very surprised if he is a Leigh player next season, and if this is the way he is going about it, I'm not bothered.

I agree, and this news should never have been outed, unless it's a bit of a tease, or even fake news. Lammy's 1 hour delay to his press interview due to a serious meeting, said to Trevor Hunt, that he would speak to him about it later with a smile on his face. In all honesty, I'm trying not to overthink it.............Que Sera, Sera.
Can't help but think those lovely agents are at work here, like John wilkin said the other week, agents don't get paid unless they are negotiating or renegotiating contracts
