Would be interesting to see the age and appearance comparison. He’s blooded a lot of youngsters. This time next year we’ll be calling on young uns with 10-15 games under their belts which will definitely help in the long run.

He seems a decent guy who is unlikely to renege on a done deal, particularly with Jed being here, too. I think he sounds like just what we need, a coach that demands high intensity and who the players will respect and with the signings made and rumoured to be happening, next season could be the first for a while to make the crowds happy again.
On another note, Huddersfield could be next years Hull FC if they don't act quickly to halt their slide and player exits, seems Davey may have had enough of wasting his money, with him being disillusioned with the pathetic crowds and poor performance, going by what some of their fans were saying on a forum yesterday.
I genuinely think hudds could be at risk under IMG grading, there's no areas they can improve on really, they already had a good ground and good finances, they were 9th last year but if the clubs beneath them all improve (Toulouse, Wakey, Bradford, Leigh and Cas) could they be at risk of being in the championship next year? They've not made many other signings aside from Burgess have they? Wonder if Davey is thinking of pulling the plug?

Don't we still have to play Wigan twice? Let's see how things are after that

Staveley the only one there who wouldn’t make our 17 this year and that’s probably debatable with what we’ve offered up
I agree on all apart from Livett, too small and no better than Lane imo, the rest are young and British with plenty of potential. Sadly Huddersfield don't need the money and can't see Davy leaving now he's pumped millions in to them with no return or interest from most of the town for years and years, they'd be in league 1 without him.

I'd take English and Rushton. Livett is a strange one, he looked good at Wire and then Salford , but he hasn't looked the same since and that can be said of a few of their squad, notably Connor, so maybe they were all fed up of Watson , because there looked to be a definite discord between him and some players. If we could do a bit of business with them, English forwards would allow us to make two overseas signings in the backs, assuming that Carlos' place will be freed up.

Would be very smart. He’s been very poor this year. And an English forward would be massive for us. Centre is an issue for us but this season is a write off
Livett would be a punt but versatile and looked good everywhere but hudds. Would be relatively cheap on the cap

Might be worth waiting to see what our crowds drop to next season, if we keep our grade A status and if we manage to pay our debts and get on a decent financial footing before we decide to relegate Huddersfield and take all their players. Davy has consistently put his money where his mouth is over the years can’t see him just letting them go to the wall, and even if he did we might not be much better off.
