We had decent possession and territory throughout the second half, but once again our movement was so slow whenever we were inside their 25. Their defence was well organized and difficult to break down, but we simply don't ask enough questions when we are in these situations. A lot of lateral movement but zero penetration as you say.
Our lack of power in the forwards and creativity in the middle, allied to our painfully slow ptb, makes it very easy for defences to read us. If we had scored a third try quickly after the second then it might have become very interesting, but all of our long-standing issues, especially with ball in hand, where there for all to see once more this afternoon. Until we can inject some higher quality into this area it's going to continue to be an issue I'm afraid. The effort is there but lack of attacking threat is a problem which will not be easily solved unfortunately.
I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.

They fed off the underdog tag and lived off claiming moral victory in close defeat for years. It has served in galvanising their club but hasn't taught them any humility. The chip on their shoulders is bigger than ever.
As for us... I'm pleased Grix didn't claim a moral victory as that's for losers. Whilst acknowledging the improvement in effort and attitude he quite rightly focused on our lack of game smarts as the main reason for the loss. KR enjoyed their cup final celebrations at the end but on today's showing they aren't that far in front of us despite their big spending. Get the recruitment right and, while I wouldn't expect us to win anything next year, the derbies could be very different
That was a lot better than expected in the end, still a loss but credit to the lads for hanging in there when it got tough and not buckling like they would have before, they seem stronger mentally and Grix deserves credit for that.
Felt they really targeted Charles defensively and he really could have used a Sika Manu type looking after him.
Rovers we're the better team and just about deserved their win but when I looked at both teamsheets and after our start I thought it would have been another 50, I'm not sure they're as good as they think, I've noticed especially recently a kind of unearned arrogance from their fans, fair enough they've won a couple of derbies and are having a decent season but you'd think they were penrith panthers the way some of them are acting.
Think I've changed my mind on a Fullback I'd give Moy the shirt next season and look to strengthen the pack and outside backs as a priority, the kid could be really really good, he was brilliant again today along with Aydin (can't believe rovers swapped him for brown) and Ese Ese is one of if not the best props in the league, imagine how good he'd look in a decent team.
Really great post match comments from Grix. Hope he stays on as assistant to be honest. Don’t feel like we’ve had a coach explain our deficiencies so honestly and clearly in defeat in a long time.

As it was Rovers only got to 0-110 at your place before you finally got to score albeit out wide whilst Burgess was in the bin.
True but if burgess wasn't daft he wouldn't have been binned in the first place.
Hull are where Rovers were in around 2017? You were relegated and had to build from the ground up pretty much and that's what we're doing it's taken you a good few years to get to where you are now and I imagine it will take a similar amount of time for us to do the same, recovering from years of under investment, you deserved your win today but We're slowly getting there, our youth will take us in the right direction.
