That’s as good as a win as I’ve seen this season.
Saints really came and turned up and it was right form counts for nothing going into a game like this.
Not having a 9 for us was a disaster and no offence to both lads who took that role on they were not good at the ruck (which is understandable). It also meant that when Farrimond was in there Smith was an easy target for Saints so to find a way to win today was fantastic.
Eckerskey….what a player we have on our hands there if we manage him right.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

That was a tough game (especially given how much the ref let go in the ruck), not having a proper 9 out there really did cause us some issues but we still found a way to grind out a result. Both sides really went for it but I thought we just had that slightly smarter edge when we needed it - Smith, Ellis and Eckersley were stand-outs for me - they were the difference makers.

Great win but let's not do that again re. no.9, should've just stuck Farrell there and left him, as said above we've ended up playing with one halfback for most of the game. Hopefully the rumour about O'Neil being injured anyway is just that, we really need him back in the side next week and beyond. Take a bow Zach Eckersley, never put a foot wrong all night and a shout out to the Saints youngster, he looks a real talent, that might be the end of Dodd and Bennison as Saints first teamers bar an injury crisis
