An oddly long deal, 2 seems more appropriate. He was solid for use earlier in the year and I'm not against the signing but 3 years is odd. Hardaker and Chamberlain as our centres next year doesn't exactly get the pulses racing. Hopefully another more dynamic centre to come in but I'm not sure we'll get one.

Makes it feel like there is no significant investment and we'll be bottom dwellers for the foreseeable

As mentioned earlier on in this thread he goes into his last year in 2025 and in the exact same situation we allowed previous big earners Sneyd and Connor to look at other options. Wakefield have a lot of money now anyway, but even if they’re offering a bit less they might have indicated that they’ll give him a longer deal and some players like the security of that. I’m just guessing but can see it happening.
