Long story short, used to park down John street, they've put double yellows all down the flats and saw tickets on people bumped up the pavement in the dead end on the industrial estate.

Hope I'm not too late for you, but I would advice parking over or under Golden Square, free and secure in the evening. Entrance off Legh Street if going under, or up the spiral ramp off Midland Way if parking above. Open till midnight. If you park under, you walk back down the ramp in which you entered. If parking above, you have to use the lift near Starbucks inside the shopping centre. You will be issued with a ticket on arrival, and present it to a machine before returning to your car, and it will say "nothing to pay".

Nah, went early and got near Sainsbury's/wheelie bin depot. Will defo be using it going forward. Bath street entrance and then straight under the railway to the ground. Thanks again for the tip
