Fully agree about the apathy feeling but as regards Widdop the feeling on here was that the money spent on signing him should have and would have been better spent on a couple of other players in areas that were more important such as a decent prop or centre being mentioned.

In that scenario the money would still have been spent for the 2024 season and obviously would not have still been in the bank for the 2025 season for player retention or anything else.

Also on Widdop my information is that it was "one" then director who pushed for it and sorted out much of the package / finances etc just to get GW onboard as a one off deal and the money raised to do so might not have even been available in a broader sense anyway.

In either case the simple fact is, past, present and in the future financially there are several clubs who are prepared to pay what we can't and the difference in certain cases is huge.

Regarding any new signings it will be of Finns decisions trying to get the best he can with what he has to work with and he’s picked the team for this year resulting in any disruptions caused by his selections.

Regardless of where the money came from to finance the Widdop deal in 2024 my real concern now is the rumour he's been resigned for 2025. If that is the case someone wants their bumps feeling!

Heard the same rumour but on a lot less and he’s not sure on going round again and even if he does signing him for this season isn’t the reason we can’t afford to keep Keyes as some were alluding to.

If you mean pizzed off because of money.
Joe was happy to be here and wanted to stay as was LJ.
Louis was more unsettled if Joe wasn’t going to be staying than anything else.
With that in mind in an effort to try and keep them what many might not know is the very week / time Gledhill was saying he had signed for Bradford the club and Keyes we’re still meeting to try and sort something out.
As Finn alluded to a good / improved offer was made but it still fell well short of what Bradford were putting on the table and he’s going for one reason and that’s because he can’t turn down the wage rise ( which is substantial.)
If you mean pizzed of because of not playing JWH, LJ and JK at 1,6 and 7 it’s Finn whose picked the team trying to find the best spine.

Pretty average performance. The try just before half time just killed things , until then wed been very competitive, if blunt going forward. zack had a bit of a mare all game, hope salty hip better for next week. Impressed with Graham, a good signing. Really miss a couple of couple of good props. Calcott and Douglas would have made a big difference.

Didn’t go mainly due to apathy and followed it on Twitter which sounded like Eagles bossed it and we had little rub of the green with a lot of the calls ( although most their team commentators will see it like that when it’s not going your way )

Still disappointing not to be able to score a single point and be reduced to hope our immediate rivals also lose. :(

First half we defended probably as good as i have seen this season, they was camped on our line for a number of sets but we held firm. And both there scores came from kicks near our line which was a bit of a lottery to deal with. The sin binnings were harsh for me for both sides, Thackery didn't like being tackled by Jouffret they had a little wrestle on the floor other players come in just grabbing each other and the next thing you know Kav and Farrell are in the bin. Second half we did try but it just got worse as the half went on conceding early MCcomb getting sent off i would need to see the incident again to see if the Sheffield player did anything to provoke Zak to react the way he did. And lest be honest Sheffield are a strong side who play that pitch very well there kicking game was spot on. Nothing flash from them but they work hard off the ball and are very well organised. This year they are a stronger side than us so we need to beat the teams around us to make sure we stay up.
