I think he's well passed his best if I'm honest but could still be very useful over here.. depends on his attitude - he may be able to do a good 3 seasons here if he's up for it.

He had some very good games for us and some he looked uninterested.I seem to remember rumours of being a poor trainer and disruptive in the dressing room.

Yes I think he had an interesting character off the field!
It is very very hard to find and retain high quality imports these days (although again Saints and Wigan seem to have managed this way better than Leeds).
We need to give players like Holroyd time and resources, because if he can fulfil more of his early promise he's a really valuable asset. I still think there is a player in him but he does need the right coach I think to get stuck into him.

I really rated Holroyd when he burst on to the scene and he did pretty well in the England Academy. He seemed to go off the boil after his sending off whilst playing for Bradford. Maybe someone told him he needs to curb his aggression and its affected his game.

Brian Mac singles Garbutt out in the film 'As Good As It Gets'. In fact, the film is supposedly named after a comment of Brian's to Mitch - something along the lines of 'this is as good as it will ever get for you, Mitch Garbutt' while putting him through the ringer in training.

It's by no means impossible though. Look at Amone, Mago, and Satae. None of of them had really broken through over there, but they've been great in SL. Simply put, we need to try harder and do better when it comes to recruitment.

He was also back on the boil enough in his first full season to get an England cap Lets see how he goes under a new coach

Will be harder with is being abit of a shitshow the last few years with regards to silverware and league position etc.
I know it was a different time during the golden gen but ad Sinny said, players down bigger deals elsewhere to win and play at Leeds. We no longer have that ,so players will cost more

3 year deal would be a disaster currently hes a shadow of the player he was and is blowing and struggling with the pace of the game after 15 minutes. As an impact off the bench he would be an upgrade on Lisone and improve our go forward but his value would deteriate as he got older. We need an aggresive starting prop who can play decent minutes and carry the ball regularly. Lisone is a bench prop Sangare will never be good enough and should be 5th or 6th option and Holroyd has just not kicked on playing only around 40 games in 5 years and with the ball offers even less than Sangare. Unfortunately these guys are contracted so its not a problem thats easily solved.
