Apparently we have signed James Meadows from London Broncos for next season. Don't know much about him.

We're also rumoured to be after Riley Dean.

Gaskell's probably unlikely to stay and with Holmes nailed on to play fullback we need three halfbacks to be sure we have enough cover. Meadows reportedly signed and Keyes and Dean rumoured. Not sure where that leaves Jordan Lilley who's still under contract for 2025.

A bit of competition in the halves can only be a good thing.

Isn't the consensus he makes a better 9? Is Souter playing the full 80?

We are heavily reliant on Lilley for 2024 and EOC seems to appreciate what he can bring to the side. Talk of wholesale changes in the squad worry me a little that the extra few per cent commitment we might need at the end of the year might not be there.

I think we'd be daft not to keep him, he seems to be one of those players who is a consistent performer (not always spectacular) who rarely seems to pick up injuries.

I would guess ott and souter next year with Keyes one half and meadows and lilley duking it out for the 3rd spot 3rd half usually plays more than any one due to injuries also meadows can fill in at fullback if needed
