Odd bit of recruitment from the Roosters

Feels like things have gone really quiet on the recruitment front, are they keeping cards close to their chest or are we struggling to make signings?

With Sao and Ashworth out for a while I was hoping that a prop would have been brought in on loan.

Are we still confident the investment will be happening or that it will be a significant sum? Aside from Asiata, none of the signings will be high earners really and aren't to dissimilar to the previous signings we've seen under Clarke/Pearson

I’m hoping we are waiting for the investment to be sorted to allow us make a couple of good signings.

As for how much the investment actually is, no figures have ever been mentioned but Pearson really played it down and made it clear we still want and need to be self sufficient if the investment happens. The talk of someone pumping in millions or whatever on social media will be way wide of the mark in my opinion.

If I really had to make a really uneducated guess about how much ‘investment’ mens you’d imagine it would at least have to be a few hundred thousand. That would be enough to help bring in the type of marquee player we haven’t been able to afford in recent years (Pearson mentioned the investment would be used for this purpose) and would likely what’s needed for someone to buy a major stake in the club and thus allow a family member to get a good foot in the door in a new career.
