Hi guys - anyone from here going to the Catalan game in July?

Thinking of heading over for my 40th for a few days, child free and wondered the best way to do it.....stay in Spain and get the coach, or stay local to Perpignan

I’ve done both and the Spanish route , was best for me.

Staying in Spain and getting coach with Catalan Sports Tours is a great option. Lloret if you like a noisy resort. Santa Susanna/Malgrat de Mar for a quieter trip.

Haven't stayed in Perpignan but it looked nice from the few hours I've spent there.

Perpignan is a bit boring when it's not matchday, staying in Barcelona and getting a train up to Perpignan for the game is a good option, or exploring the places round Perpignan like Coloure and Carcassonne

What ever floats your boat , Perpignan is good for a day and agree with Steve0 about Collioure for a day there . I only did the Spain thing once and that was enough .
Not my type of resort and managed to cop a bus full of bellends as well .

as we have left the EU whats the passport issue if travelling on organised coach trip from Lloret ? TIA

Even when we were in the EU, you had to show passports at border crossings.

Need a stamp on entering and leaving EU countries now I think .

Flying into carcassonne, and having a few days in Perpignan. Done lloret and I prefer this way now. Train up to Perpignan about an hour and a half, lovely little place is Carcassonne.
