If Walker stays then we have Walker,Moy.Litten and Hardaker who can all play full back

Fullback is probably the easiest position to recruit top quality. It’s obvious the focus has been on bringing in solid players we need a bit of flair and pace I wouldn’t worry about the position. Nearly every NRL club has a top class fullback so there’s some real quality players not first choice, look at the lad Leigh have managed to sign. I’d imagine whoever we sign as the fullback might be able to play as a 6 and possibly at centre as a lot of modern fullbacks can, that might be important.

Fantastic news on the resigning of Balmforth. Great to have all British at 6,7 & both 9s too. Will hopefully allows to build up other ares of the team now

Great news now its confirmed although nothing from the club so far but another good move from Myler, we all know just by sitting in the stands that Balmforth is a great prospect. The way that things change with quota spots and such developments as that unfolding now with the guy from PNG show what a state of flux we are in at present as we strive to get the best mix for next year and some on here should hold their horses a bit whilst the full picture of all signings made and all quota spots filled is completed. But, as I've said from the moment his move was confirmed how much easier it would have been if we'd just kept Sneyd and built around him. Personally as a guy who wants a team to support until I expire I'd still like some indication of developments on getting conformation of investment and additional involvement at the top, however the best news for me is that 'Cartwright is in daily touch with the Club' . Can't wait to get him here.

Considering he will have been in Origin camp for a week or so it’s very encouraging that he’s keeping in contact with the club and getting involved in player decisions.

Would agree 100%, and think it shows that Myler (whatever any thoughts were as fans on his appointment) seems to be handling the rebuild/overhaul of the club pragmatically and sensibly. He also seems very conscientious and willing to speak with a discuss things with the people that matter but most importantly listen to them. It would also appear he isn't afraid to make the tough decisions that are and will be needed on the road to recovery for the club.
As a fan that has wobbled and wondered about walking due to the utter despair I have felt, I find it reassuring that in Cartwright we have a Coach who has been and still is heavily involved at the top of the Australian game and although he doesn't officially start yet he is already very much an active and involved party to the current transition.

On your point re Sneyd I don't think it would be a stretch to assume that the decision on Sneyd was probably made more out of financial reasons than anything. If AP was having to cut back then its probably fair to say we most likely couldn't have given Sneyd a lengthy deal or brought in the players to build around that were needed such were the financial constraints at the time or looming up.

I think right here and now its a time to feel genuinely hopeful for the future and be positive about the changes being made.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I wonder if we will still sign a quota hooker or go with Bourouh, Balmforth, Smith with Hodgson continuing his development?

In all seriousness who was the last regular starter they produced?
Lewis COHA, Litten, Hadley, Brown from us.

Really pleased that Balmforth has had his contract renewed. He's a gamebreaker, this type of player brings confidence to the team, without his input vs Leeds and Warrington, i doubt we'd see the improved morale. Thankfully Cartwright has seen the raw potential of this player, and given a real preseason, amongst other players, their is potentially a group of good players, hopefully with a new backroom staff.
The No 3 for NSW, doesn't look a bad player, maybe Hoss can bring him here as well, we could do with a decent left centre.

2 quota spots to play with and the club hope Okunbor will make his move to Bradford permanent.

Think we should be looking at
Bailey Hodgson (fullback, Centre & wing)
Tristan Sailor (fullback & Half back)
Tesi Nui (Centre)
Jacob Allick (Back Row)
Riley Dean (half back)
A prop

3 quota spots used a ton of depth. Only place we’d be light is a rapid winger. Should we sign those 6, id be content that we’re moving in the right direction and could challenge for mid table obscurity.
