No idea, I don't have agents touting players around to me as I don't deal in recruitment for a sl club but there will be better quality snapped up by other teams in the comp for 2025

I agree he’s a good signing. Come through two clubs with quality coaching backgrounds.
Contracts don’t really mean much these days but if the club are reportedly asking players to commit to living locally then 3yr deal is a fair return commitment.

Maybe the investment isn't all it's cracked up to be

With 16 players out of contract with only a couple of youngsters resigning and adding Sutcliffe, Pele and Walker to that list at the moment we are likely way down on salary cap for 2025 then 2024. It’s obvious that the investment hasn’t been finalised yet or at least made its way into money spent in the first team, we do seem a lot more willing to be getting coaching and off field roles sorted at the moment. It’s also obvious something major is happening behind the scenes at the club, I just hope it happens in time so we don’t have to write off another season completely.

I’m confident that there’s still time to add 2-3 quality players once the Covid loans etc are sorted and the investment kicks in. If we go back to the AP interview he did say the plan was a self sufficient squad filled with ‘journeymen’ and any potential investment from outside could help add 2-3 quality players that we’ve not afforded for a few years. Anything else regarding ‘investment’ was invented in peoples minds and on social media.

I know AP has said a lot of things in recent years, but everything he’s said in that interview is playing out, I’m sure the situation will be better back end of the year once the financial situation and possibly even the stadium lease is sorted.

The recruitment is as planned given availability, money and what we need ifor the club to rebuild. Solid experienced pros -Holmes , Abdull, Hardaker, Cartwright. Don’t know much about Bourouh but seems well thought of. Hope we want 3 hookers. Would like Balmforth but some of his weaknesses showed on Sat eg not being at the play the ball and we lost possession. They are game changers. He needs rest of season to iron these out. If so I hope we then keep him

Think I may have to mute a few on here getting very tedious, permanently digging the club out a slamming players before they've even pulled the shirt on.

Good idea. Closing your ears to opposing views is a great way forward for those who live in an idyllic bubble

The club's timing for press releases could do with some work. Every fan praising how Balmforth has gone the last 2 games, bearing in mind that we are told he is nowhere near the finished article........then we go an announce another hooker is signing. Well done FC
