Also a defensive 9 is not helping The amount of times we have been outplayed in the spine of the team this season is concerning and this is Championship standard

I would say it's expected, its the same combinations as last year. Gale will be retiring, Liam Hood will be phased out and if Lino can be shipped out for another as long as we get through this year then there no harm done over all. If we go into SL with the same halves then we are in trouble.

I'd be disappointed, I'd love to see him play alongside a half back who takes responsibility for game management. A younger version of Gale would do nicely. I don't get why anybody would want to ditch a quality half back who can change a game offensively AND defend aggressively and effectively. Yes, he could be more consistent...but I think that's coming along nicely.
Lino has had his moments this year that’s for sure.
However, let’s not kid ourselves, we’re playing at a lower level and he still remains to be hit and miss.
His contract was renewed before Ellis took the helm, but if they were to release him, it probably won’t come cheap, and Ellis may want a return on his investment.
Whatever happens on that front, I trust Matt, Daryl and Ste Mills to make the right call.
I suspect that DP may rate Lino higher than some of his critics on here. I really can't make my mind up he frustrates me a bit like Miller used to but there's no doubt he's stepped up a little this season. I'm sure we all know the half backs will need to be much better next season!
