Can't fault the effort today and we are definitely fitter than we were but we are so dumb at times and there is no leadership on the pitch.

I've been disappointed with trueman who has done nothing g when we're in good field position. We had so much ball in their 20 metre area we should have won comfortably but we really lack I the basics of the game. We're crying out for some pace but sign a couple of donkeys in hardaker and Chamberlain.

The forwards are doing g their job but the half's and centres really not doing enough in attack.

Lots better than we were though.

We have probably dicked balmforth around over a new contract and he's gone elsewhere. Maybe rovers who are after a hooker

At least Smith beat London…came close doesn’t get 2pts.

Is that It? Only two negative opinions, surely you can produce more than that?

Still, at least you can find more negatives than positives from today. That'll keep you going for another week a least.

Its a good question
I watched Trueman quite a bit at Castleford before his injury and never got the hype although he did run the ball more there and had a bit of pace but was never fast.
I have mentioned before that he has lost that bit of pace whilst he has been here, hardly ever runs the ball, and was made to look a lot better player when Clifford was here as he carried the half back partnership.
I like to see a running halfback but we certainly wont have one with Abdul and Trueman.
I wouldnt extend his contract and i dont think S/L clubs would be queing up for his services.

The improvements from Hull are clear though, I think the side from earlier in the season lose by 30+ today. Aydin was really impressive, not far off an 80 minute performance. Ashworth very good too but another worrying injury.

Why did Chan not play, anyone know? Injured or just not selected?

Whilst it was a shame not to see Cartwright I totally get why he wasn't selected. There's no rush, by the time of the Salford game he'll have had almost three weeks to settle in. Hopefully by then too we'll have added another import.

Three weeks to settle in but will he have enough time to get over his jet lag?

Jet lag?

New research strongly suggests that exercise could be an effective jet lag cure. Here are the best ways to exercise to reset your sleep.
Not going to cut and paste all that but suggest you and your pals read some of the articles that are available.

Plenty of evidence from professional people suggests that exercise is an effective cure for Jet lag and he is an athlete correct?
Certainly i dont like the flight from Australia and you do feel crap when you get back but i can guarantee if you are prepared to do some running and excercise you will recover a lot faster
No reason why Cartwright couldnt have done a 40 minute spell today especially as we are so short in the second row and given the club have a two week break after today

Impressed with the improvements in defence, fitness and general attitude but sadly I do suspect that is as good as we can be with the squad we have.

Still lots of daft errors and on a hot day we saw how lacking in pace the team is. But the biggest thing is I felt entertained and that's all I can ask for until better players arrive.

Agree, Sneyd and Kelly were the perfect partnership as one was the organiser with a great kicking game but don't move that much the other fast and completely unpredictable. Next year we risk Abdull being static and Trueman just ineffective.

I've been hearing murmurings that Cartwright has a bit of a back issue. If that's the case then him not playing is the right decision. He has 2 weeks now to recover and get ready to play

A bit of a difference between exercise (which he will have done at training mid week) and playing even forty minutes of professional rugby league but clearly you know better than the club's medical staff.

I absolutely guarantee that if he had played today and not looked fit or didn't make much impact you'd have been on here moaning that the club rushed him and should have left him for the Salford game.
