One major thing that showed up for me was pace (or lack of) we've no speed in the halves or centres. Carlos got done for speed right at the end and looked like he was running in concrete boots for his intercept, we're crying out for some genuine pace throughout the team.
Balmforth was great again, with a try and an assist and some great passing from 9 really got us going in that second half. Felt we blew more than a few chances today, we just can't seem to get any luck at the minute the last conversion in off the post pretty much summed it up.
Williams the difference today. As hasbag says, a genuine gamebreaker.
The improvements from Hull are clear though, I think the side from earlier in the season lose by 30+ today. Aydin was really impressive, not far off an 80 minute performance. Ashworth very good too but another worrying injury.
Why did Chan not play, anyone know? Injured or just not selected?
Whilst it was a shame not to see Cartwright I totally get why he wasn't selected. There's no rush, by the time of the Salford game he'll have had almost three weeks to settle in. Hopefully by then too we'll have added another import.
Also I think the fact we played a good chunk of the game 2 subs down and then Sao went off injured too with about 15 mins to go leaving a 1 man bench, can't fault the effort and determination from the boys, they were absolutely out on their feet at the end. Massive minutes from Aydin and Herman, Gardnier had a good stint as did Fash, but Ashworth was head and shoulders the best forward on the pitch, hopefully his injury isn't as bad as it looked.

The problem there is Smith pinched it against London, we beat Leeds and came very close to beating warrington

Pleased with the effort and commitment once more, can't fault anyone on that score, but gutted to lose in that fashion.
Think the difference in the end was the quality gap between the two sides. If you take Williams and Dufty out of their line-up then we most likely come away with a win. We all know this isn't the greatest squad we've ever seen, but games like today bring out our inadequacies into the harsh light.
The possession and territory we had at times was squandered because we simply lack the quality to exploit it, although I did think Wire's defensive line was very resolute and even sides better than us may have struggled to break them down.
Either way, I feel a good deal more positive than I did a few weeks backs, so we are seeing some lifting of the mood from the first three months of the season. Let's hope the remaining games bring a little cheer for us all.
I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.

Hope Ashworths injury isn’t too bad as thought other than the offload at the start of the 2nd half he was very good again today and made good metres. Though to be fair the off load was on but the timing/execution was off.
On fitness I think we look a lot fitter than we did under Smith and we look a lot more committed and together as a team.
Balmforth has to be in the 17 as he has done more in the 2 games than most have done all season in terms giving us direction and an attacking threat.
It would be criminal if we don’t or haven’t offered him a deal as he will more than likely be a very good player over the years.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Gutted with the loss but Wires game breakers got them over the line.
Think Aydin has been a good buy for us. Must've played 70+ minutes in the middle
