So going on MC latest injury update do we need any new faces to boost the squad, cozza boothroyd and vangana are all out for a while adding to the fact ky is out for a couple more weeks we are only a couple of injuries away from struggling in the pack add to this we have no back up half and thornley gonna be missing a few weeks.we don't want to get to buissness end of season and be struggling to field a strong team

That's why we have a squad.

I'm happy to go with what we have now.

Maybe, and it's only a maybe we need cover at half but for now that's Kay.

Halves were weak at the start of the year with no depth, Lawford's injury exacerbates this.

Not sure what’s changed really , yes lawford is injured, but kaye was injured at start of season. Same in forwards but Bain is now fit. Shaw hasn’t played a game. Rodwell thornly and coz a should all be back week after next. We still have booth law and Jerry available for cover in the outside backs. Do we need to strengthen in the halves for next season ? Definitely but at the moment our tactics are based on wearing other teams down and as such our half backs are less important than they might be.

Gale is being nursed along with his historical injuries and was pulled early from the game at Widnes to save his joints and why mcGillvary was a none starter . We have an abundance of players who will see us come home with a wet sail imo this season even though to my mind we haven’t hit our strap by a long way as of yet, it obviously doesn’t help chopping n changing but that’s the name of the game at present , and it gives Powell a good look at fringe players looking to the future and the make up of the squad next season

We will only have an issue if Lino, Gale, Jowitt get a long term injury as those are pivotal. Especially to the end of season playoffs. It’s only necessary to bring someone in if they get injured.

I don't think it'd be a bad thing if we're looking to strengthen, but only with a view to the long term. I don't think we need a quick fix, but if players like Russell, Hall or Storton etc became available now then it'd make sense to bring them in early.

Completely agree. No signing players out of urgency to be stuck with them when they aren’t part of long term plans. Be better off paying a fee to get Russell in early (if he’s signed).
