I don't think we can go with Moy as first choice FB, which means we Nedd a new fullback and that will probably be a quota place gone. I'd rather keep Walker and having him, but don't see that happening.
Exactly this: Who knows what’s going on with the Walker situation but for me, it’s Walker every time and Moy’s for the future. I just don’t get it, but there may be factors unknown. In the meantime let’s hope there’s something going on behind the scenes nd get behind Moy in the meantime.
Walker was more bad recruitment from Smith, we didn't need him and I questioned the signing at the time...all it did was unsettle Hoy (and eventually caused him to leave). We signed him because he was available, not because we needed him, like we did with fonua second time round. We should have used the money we spent on Walker to strengthen the squad elsewhere, e.g a second rower or an adequate replacement for Swift

Agree, IF Walker asked for a release than why would the club even play him in the reserves. It wouldn’t benefit the club, they may as well play one of the kids at full back in the reserves.

I wonder if Smith could be the one to miss out? Lane can do a spell at hooker if required.
I’m speechless - I applaud your wide open thinking BUT this would see me faint on the sofa if I saw this on Sky at midnight Saturday !
He can’t tackle when they move around him His arms flail like a young kid when the big kid runs past him He’s nowhere near fast enough and couldn’t sprint out of dummy half if both square markers we’re lighting up a bong

Whitehead if a top, top signing, disappointed but not surprised.
Is Cartwright under estimating the standard of SL or are we struggling to sign good players from the NRL, I've said all along I don't the signing of the likes of Holmes and Chamberalin, as long as we get top class imports (SL top class), but signing the likes of Rimbu and Stewert (I know he isn't coming now), are huge gambles, neither have played an NRL, which puts them below the likes of Pele and Ockunbor, on paper anyway (I know that we don't play on paper, but the point still stands).
The next two imports are key, we should be aiming for the likes of Sailor and Niu, which should eb possible, particularly with the connections and reputation that Cartwright has.
The HDM doesn't help, as they have built up hopes, just after the signing of Asiata, they ran an article that we were going to sign two big named players, like all the HDM stories this will have come from the club, probably Myler. I'm not convinced this will happen think we need a good couple of overseas players, ones that will excite the fans and a good UK signing, paying a fee, or looking at the likes of Bateman, Murphy etc
Rumour is that Whitehead has signed for Catalans, but Elliot's Instagram says "plenty of rumours flying around today" which may mean it isn't true, or not 100% complete
Do Catalan actually need him though? Their back row is one of their strengths with Sims, Seguier and Garcia...if we lose out to them, should we be going all out to tempt Bateman over to us?
