I think he was one of the many names of props being bandied about as potential signings as most of us thought we were short. Which has sadly proved to be correct. Having said that, he's a raw kid as well, and if he was part of our squad this year he would most likely be suffering himself.

All the pressers seem to indicate that it is the RFL's Concussion protocols that are being implemented.
I do however see the reasoning behind the thought that we are measuring them in a different way, it's hard to not bring the Stevie Ward scenario into the equation especially at club level.

I've put something similar on another thread on here. it's absolute madness. Things are hard enough for the team at the moment and this just puts nails in coffins.. no other club in SL has these issues - it's crippling the team and something needs to change.

That just cannot be right, given the enormous disparity between us and the other 11 clubs.

It's hard to say.
If a doctor told me not to play until scan results were better or etc it would be hard to go against that as a player and a club given the long term injuries to players like Ward and Graham.
If we increased the cap so teams could have extra players the workload could be spread more evenly over a larger squad but that won't happen while we continue spending decades playing to the bottom

The cap issue is certainly pertinent to the debate, no doubt about that. But, even under the current regime, we are, or appear to be, impacted to a much greater degree than the other clubs. Given they are very unlikely to be putting their players at unnecessary risk, we would appear to be putting ourselves at a serious disadvantage.

Wonder if passive defence has led to people getting technique wrong / the amount of defending deep and goal line leads to exhausted players being in a bad position to tackle right

If that's true then the likes of London wouldn't be able to field a side week-in, week-out!
