Perpignan is an attraction, sunny weather, little media attention, fast trains to Barcelona Paris and beyond. Several Catalans overseas players have stayed on longer playing part time in the French league as they like it there.

Went to watch Carcassonne v Lezignan last year and there were quite a few ex Super League / NRL players on the teams, including Jimmy Maloney at halfback
Was pleased to read we released Pele; not for him (obviously)
I wish him well and prosperity elsewhere.
It's clear Richie Rich is jettisoning the dreck we snatched at in last years recruitment and going different. My optimism is a little mitigated by a spate of mediocre (which is an uplift, admittedly) signings, but it generally seems upward.
May the glad-tidings continue and perhaps a couple more recruits of the Asiati ilk.
Twas even good to see Pearson so passionate during our second victory of the year.

As you say, mediocre as they may be, they'll hopefully improve us again. Not a very attractive club to be at at the moment, no player wants to be losing every week stuck around the bottom of the league. Hopefully we can continue the improvements from Saturday and start to appeal to a wider group of players again.

I just hope that Cartwright can use his NRL network to find us some good strike players , players that can develop in SL before they return home for a first team gig there , hopefully staying with us for 2 plus seasons,as I’m sure he’ll know of plenty promising players that are not yet ready for the NRL but could perform in Sl.

really? would have been more shocked if he had signed for us, a club floundering at the lower end of the league for the past few season, or sign for a club that has been to the GF and won the LLS in that same time period, then throw in the pros of living in the south of France to the north of England

Disappointed in the sense that it’s another key target missed, appreciate that there are attractive options elsewhere.
