You can say you want Smith out without non-stop swearing and foul mouthed abuse. I presumed the presenter would warn the other guy or cut him short but he seemed to enable him to continue further.
Surely, you want balanced and rational people speaking rather than somebody who sounded like he had had 10 pints and could not stop swearing. It didn't come across well at all to me.
Fair comment and why it got pulled, remember this was a live podcast and not pre recorded.
You've also got to remember Eddy isn’t a professional broadcaster he’s just s passionate fan doing this in his spare time so i think he needs to be cut some slack when dealing with situations like this.
We try our best to get the balance right, in fact we’re often criticised for being too even handed! But clearly we misjudged this one and hopefully addressed it in the correct way.

I got the impression the presenter was a bit shocked and unsure how to handle the situation. I'm sure moving forwards, it will be a good learning point!

In hindsight it was a mistake to have it live and so soon after the loss.
The decision was made to delete it from all platforms and issue an apology as it wasn’t acceptable.
It’s been a lesson learned to be honest and was outlined in the tweet explaining why it was deleted.
Seemed like the wrong guest at the wrong time Chris. Even as a Hull fan I do enjoy listening to the Lot pod. I think Eddy, Rhys and yourself come across well. Mark (?), while his message was probably was what most fans were thinking, could've been delivered more diplomatically

Personally I'd much rather hear some honest home truths than hear ''I actually think Rohan Smith would be perfect for the Sporting Director job" which was said on the same pod the week before.

Was it?
It was probably tongue in cheek if it was said. But anyway all opinions are valid and allowed, but we have to be careful how they are put across and not personal.

That was the second pod that I had heard and was taken aback. Glad it was pulled. I kept fast forwarding 5 mins at a time in the hope the guy had worked out how to articulate his frustration without taking the easy route of abusive language. Anyway i gave up.
That said in the the previous pod, i saw had 3 guys debating and discussing the Rhinos which I thought was really quite good.

I'm not linked to the Lot Pod podcast in anyway, but I would urge anyone to listen to other episodes before tuning out. Saturdays episode wasn't representative of the content that is usually aired.
Mark has been a great guest in the past, and his honesty is always refreshing to hear, usually with some comic relief after a loss. But even I went from laughing to cringing several times on Saturday. My other half was less than impressed by it when she walked into the room and heard the language used.
But don't be put off by Mark if you did hear it. It's usually a family friendly podcast, with some interesting discussion and analysis of the games. I think it just hit boiling point with a passionate fan who was clearly frustrated by the whole situation. I imagine it might have been different with the other regular host present, too.
I think they made the right decision to pull the episode off the air with an apology.

I'v enjoyed the Pod ever since I first found it, and look forward to all the previews and reviews. Its generally a good listen and I think Eddy's a pretty good presenter, Rhys is good, the difference in their style works, and most of the usual guys are worth a listen. I'd say most weeks it comes across as pretty professionally done and long may it continue.
