The club are fishing in a small pond. Asking players to relocate to Hull for a 1year deal? They may as well stayed at Leigh.. Another positive argument for you. Holmes, briscoe, Hardaker, chamberlain all played in the Leigh squad that won the CC last year.. So they can’t be that bad can they? Say compared to kr squad who have not won anything.

You may as well add Reynolds who is now on loan to us.Not wanted at Leigh so he couldnt stay and If he was that good then Leigh wouldnt have let him go I am also not certain whether the Leigh players were offered contract extensions. You would have to ask on the Leigh forum if they know The coach has now said he wants players to live within 20/30 mins to the training facility. So do we tear up the contracts of those players who wont relocate?

Can you please advise who fc should have signed instead of those cup winning Leigh players.
Why do posters ask this ridiculous questi9n and act as if it's some kind of justification for poor recruitment? Unless binaire is some superleague club official, how the he'll would he know who is available to usnor being touted about?
And what difference does players being cup winners make? Danny Houghton and Carlos are cup winners but everyone wants rid of them

There’s no doubt the list of domestic based players off contract was slim pickings this year, maybe we have just had to make do.
Let me flip this a bit on it’s head though, assume there wasn’t this teaser of potential investment in the club which of the new signings do we think we wouldn’t have been able to previously make under Pearson and Clark? I’m not sure any of them signal any change in intent or ambition to me at the minute.
Granted, everything hinges on the overseas market. If we pay off Ock, Pele and possibly Ligi and bring in 3 quality players then the landscape changes massively. But that’s a huge if, and until we see it I still see us as the whipping boys way behind even sides like Wakefield, Cas, Hudds, Salford, Leigh.
The talk of players having to live within a certain distance of the training ground is fascinating and would be a bold move. It’s hard not to like the idea and you’d think it’s the opposite of the laid back approach at the club in recent years. Hull is the hardest place in the world to try something like this though, it’s not the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Rovers must have built a great culture and as far as I know don’t have such a rule so not sure it’s necessary, but it’s hard not to be impressed by the noises surrounding Cartwright. Fans have called for a change in this respect and it looks like it’s happening.

Asiata the obvious one we wanted to keep, but seeing very little of him on the pitch at the moment - but class when he is
We offered Reynolds a deal (would have been back up half), but he’s a fev lad and got sold the dream there which obviously went poop up
Holmes another personally I’d like to have kept, wouldn’t make the 13 but very effective off the bench - solid and reliable
