Not worried about us suddenly doing a powell, but Salford are in no way an expected win and don't believe anyone actually thinks that. As Burgess Said, Holroyd in for Fitzgibbon, and if he's over whatever his injury was against Wigan, than Wood is first choice for me to replace Crowther.

A team that wants to qualify for the Grand Final would be expectant of a home win. Not saying it's a foregone conclusion, or that they wouldn't need to earn it, but it's a reasonable expectation.
For saying they operate on 60% cap, Salford do punch above their weight.
The squad let themselves down badly last week and if they are serious about setting high standards they need to put in a controlled display, respecting both the ball and their opponents. I would agree that their state of mind ought to be that they are going to win this one, regardless of whether Salford have a red hot game or not. I suspect though that both supporters and coaches will now be experiencing a degree of doubt as to whether they have really progressed, or if they still believe that team effort is sufficient to win and entitles them to throw the ball in hope rather than with intent. I want to see discipline and a strong defence crushing the life out of Salford and less of the Williams long pass to nobody and the Nicholson desperate off load.
I suppose I could have shortened all of the above by saying they need to look at themselves in the mirror and sort themselves out.
Yes I've found the Williams long optimistic lobbed pass to the left overdone & very annoying. Not bothered how good a player he is in general he needs to be told. If it's not "on" just dummy, jink & take the tackle.

They absolutely do punch above their weight and I've rarely, if ever have this down as a regulation win. To emphasise this and talking of teams with Grand Final expectations, l recall the Sneyd short drop out with Salford 12 -10 up against Wigan and five minutes on the clock as well as a notable victory against Saints.
I hope this game is a chance for us to reset, reflect and get back to winning ways.
Tricky game to call for me, Salford seem to have Wires number recently and playing them after an awful cup final defeat. will be a huge test of character for these Wire players. Burgess has to make sure the squad have no cup final hangovers and are fully prepared and concentrated on Fridays game. My concern is the players mentality, we saw how wire imploded last season after a 8 game winning streak, in which the team never recovered from.
The 17 picks itself, it’s not a game for Burgess to gamble with unfit players or players off the game.

Barring Fitzgibbon.. any other changes I wouldn’t take the risk with this Salford game. Especially with top 6 been so tight on points, dropping points could see Wire tumbling down the table.
