Staggs is a decent centre but probably get snapped up within the NRL.

No chance of Staggs coming to SL, very good NRL, played fir Australia at the end of last season.

Thought we might have picked up a Brisbane player with the Cartwright connection.

dont agree
The Asiata signing was a statement but since then the quality of UK signings is poor.and our backline and halfbacks will be the slowest in S/L.
Top six was easily possible with several quality overseas players and by binning Sao,Okunbor and possibly Pele we still could have the overseas halfback,Nine and centre that we need.
The club have gone the route of fillers with experience in the hope that some of our younger players will become regular S/L players in two or three years.
These players are not going to put bums on seats next season.Another two or three big names would have done

Probably time for you to quit Hull FC and this forum. I'll back you all the way, no way should you have to put up with this super slow backline.

I kind of get what you mean but by the time the investment came in any decent UK based players had already signed for other clubs so we are kind of left trying to get what we can from an already limited market. If we can get Murphy (don't know the strength of the rumour) we'll have pace out wide and at FB with Stewart. What Abdull and Trueman lack in pace they make up for in smarts.
Hopefully next year we can have a good go at the UK Market now we have a coach and investment in place. Centre and backrow obviously need the most work and money.

Problem is that next year most of the average players were signing will still have a further year to run on their contracts

Hopefully they'll be on lowish contracts allowing us to recruit quality, the other option is to backload contracts to try and squeeze the most out of the cap.

You'll have to forgive me, i'm reasonably new to posting.

You, evidently, are not. But your like a poor man's Bonaire.

Following Hull makes you miserable. Give it up, walk away, find another endeavour or find some
green-shoots.

to be posting on a forum, on a Friday night (as am i) bemoaning Hull FC is tragic. At least i'm going through divorce and losing half my assets, so my morbidity has place.

Looks like it's just a case of who's going now.

Maybe the investment hasn’t took effect yet? With due respect we are only signing lower lever journeyman pro’s and Queensland cup players at the moment. I still think it makes for a better balance so can’t really complain.

I really hope come the end of the year we might have something concrete with the investment that will allow us to pay off a couple of quota players and either bring in a couple of class overseas players or you never know maybe even buy a player like we did with Sneyd early in the Pearson days. I’m clinging to the hope anything big they’d want to keep until season ticket time anytime, that’s just blind optimism though.

Having watched their highlights Stewert and Rimbu will certainly give us better pace and support play.

Rimbu can play 6 too.

Lets hope they are both more of a Ipapa than a Lovodua
