Once Gidley went off injured, the balance of the game changed.
Sandow was playing on with a severe knee injury and wouldn`t play another game until the Grand Final, when even then he still wasn`t ready and shouldn`t have played in the GF.

Unfortunately I think that if Wigan get even 2 points ahead, they will win. They are the business and know how to win these games when the scoreline is tight, they can shut up shop and defend their way home. Our final wins have virtually all been blow outs, except maybe 2009.

Anyone on here go to the 1990 final? The Wigan side then was formidable.
