I’ve been to all the home games and do not think there is any kind of toxic atmosphere to affect the players. For me that is a poor, poor excuse. There may be a dissenting element at away games, they haven’t been loud enough to hear on television but I’m sure if you’re among the small numbers now travelling you will be aware of them. I don’t do twitter, instagram etc, and I’m damn sure if I was an underperforming player I wouldn’t be anywhere near them. Too many saddos spend too much of their life on them including all the silly footballers that are forever banging on about the abuse they get on twitter. If I’ve offended Matt Frawley on here with some harsh comments then tough, he’d be the daftest man in Leeds as well as the worst rugby player if he chooses to look what people are saying on a fans forum. The players know how crap they’ve been themselves without having to look for confirmation on here. Like I said at the top, the Leeds fans as a whole have been good, loyal supporters that have been restrained in vocal criticism of the team at home games. I won’t be booing or getting on players backs, but any that may choose to do so in the future have every right if they’ve paid their money.
Excellent posting, Leeds supporters on the whole are a pretty decent bunch. Unfortunately modern day society isn’t that well behaved ,so some of that is reflected in sporting venues and occasions .

I agree with Leeds Owl that the home crowds are generally good and I don't hear that much abuse where I sit, it's online and away games where I see it most, and I'll stand by my opinion that it's not helpful and certainly not pleasant to be around.
Hull away was bad, and we won.
We've been here several times this year haven't we?
At Saints the fans were great to start with, positively supporting the side and giving it some noise. The mood quickly turned sour though and I'd best describe them as passionate but fickle AF. I don't believe getting on the players or coach's back does any good. It's like a form of mob bullying: individually none if these lads without their beers and mates around them is going to call RS out to his face or have a go at a pro RL player for having a bad game, I think it's weak and a bit immature and lacking in class.
I don't buy the "people have a right..." argument here either. The thing with rights is that one person's rights usually infringes on someone else's rights, it's just an excuse to be selfish really. Do oil protesters have the right to block traffic? No, drag them off the roads. I've got a right to get to work on time, or a patient in an ambulance has the right to get to hospital etc. Today's society is so entitled it drives me bonkers - to get along, we all need to compromise a little bit and empathise a little bit.
Anyway back to the game, I think we're missing Holroyd in the middle. This is sport, luck, decisions and various other things have a part to play in the result. We should win, we might lose, that's sport. It's not a catastrophe either way stop being hyberbolic guys. I'm expecting a win, but clearly we're going to have to cut out the stupid mistakes and take Cas seriously.

Leeds fans will back the team when they can see the team putting in the effort and giving it a real go. What were being served up is error ridden rubbish with the same mistakes and shortcuts taken by multiple players repeatedly. This is how they are being set up, this is how / why we are struggling. We dont have a coherent gameplan to try and mitigate the problems we have in our squad and instead continually fail to even execute basic skills correctly, this is a coaching issue plain and simple. The last 20 mins at Saints showed how weak this team can be when they ran the white flag up and Saints dutifully blew out the score.
If Id've paid all that money to travel there, buy tickets, a few pints and more than likely a £20 taxi home from the Supporters coach when money is tight for everyone I think I have the right to show my displeasure without it going into personal attacks. Im not fickle, im peed off that a team whos standards should be much higher is happy to bumble along the bottom half of the league and the powers that be up to now have been content to let this happen.

I didn’t shout abuse at the players when they were behind the posts after a try though
Fair enough. Not everyone is the same, not everyone has the same restraint. Everyone reacts differently. I was fuming on Friday night too, mainly that gig venues charge you £6 for a can of red stripe. Maybe I shouldve booed the barstaff?

Maybe they’d have come back to you and announced a DoR (director of refreshments)

.
Down at Cats some of the abuse and comments directed at Sangare were borderline racist, no need for it, if he's crap then yeah call him crap but no need for his skin colour to be brought in to the equation.

Well said - racism has no part in society let alone sport.
