Rodon probably the only one who really stood out and had he passed to Piroe when he was in the box I think we go on to win that game. James unlucky and added the pace we lacked all game. Whilst we had what 70+ possession most of it was from passing sideways or backwards as once again Southampton got the tactics right and our form against Norwich deserted us. I would try and get Roberts and Rodon signed up first and foremost and look for a McLean type midfielder. Summerville needs moving on and so does Gnonto. We need to start making our signings early and get them all together pre season. We missed out on promotion dues to our failings in the last 9 games and it was always going to be difficult the way Southampton play in a one off game.
Agree pal. need to get on with business straight away

Really disappointing result but not really shocked. Southampton more clinical when it mattered, really poor mistake from Ampadu for the goal but hes been pretty solid all season so can forgive him for that. Farke really needs a plan b for when teams are sat back defending well, and we really need to be more of a threat at set pieces. Think we should be cashing in on Gnonto, Summerville, Meslier, and moving on players like Firpo and Bamford. I'd like to see Joseph get more minutes next year, potentially have Rutter to play as a winger and bring in a 10. We also need to sort out the LB and RB situation.

Agree with all of that and whilst I think Ampadu/Rodon is a very good central defensive partnership. I would like to see a Tarkowski type player at the back alongside Rodon freeing up Ampadu in the middle alongside someone like McLean from Norwich.

£35m - be lucky to get £20m - no way he is £40m player. Archie Gray - I could see £40m his potential is so much greater. Summerville must already have a move lined up given his abject lack of effort in the last few weeks.

Leeds need more from midfield - the current two provide nothing going forward - even in the dying minutes when a goal is needed Gruev is passing backwards. Kamara isn't capable of shooting at goal - need an attacking midfielder or is Gray going to fill that role.

I agree about midfield as both Gruev and Kamara are more defence minded looking after the back 4. Maybe if we went 433 and put an attacking midfielder in there it would help. Not sure Gray is the answer to the attacking midfield role though.

Agree with this but I'd add it wasn't just the end of the season that cost us. The shambolic start put us behind the pack and we did amazingly well to come back into it. Got to try and get business done as early as possible, but with the Euros, it always puts things back as teams look for signings there. BUT, I don't doubt that the 49ers were already planning for going up and staying in the Champ, so they've no doubt got targets worked out. Guess alot depends on what we get for those leaving.

And we have to pay £70 million out in transfers by June 30th so outgoings are certainly going to be key to what we can bring in. I reckon we will get 2 or 3 loan signings hopefully with the experience I think we are lacking. At the end of the day with 90 points and considering how we started and how we finished the season it was a remarkable achievement. Did anyone listen to Talk Sport on Monday? A scouser Leeds United fan apparently saying if we stick with Farke next season we will be in Division 1 the season after.
