It's all speculation and we just don't know. Losing games and having your own crowd turn on you does apply tremendous pressure though and that's when cracks appear. Just as when you're winning you gloss over the problems a bit.
I don't think lots of players have gone backwards this year TBH. Handley and Oledski have been consistently decent all year, Cam Smith has played as well as he has in his whole career under Rohan Smith. I feel more like the players are stitching up the coach by poor form and performances more than anything else. Ultimately he will pay a price but in my view this squad still simply isn't good enough to compete at the top.
I had some sympathy with Frawley with the intercept. He gets that ball to Handley it’s a try. One of those 12 point moments.
I still don’t know who is responsible for recruitment - probably a team effort. What is clear is that Leeds for years have gone cheap, and when they have gone for names they’ve often gone wrong.

Not certain a temporary coach would make a substantial difference, certainly won’t be converting Roberts into a world class three quarter. Nor Frawley into a decent half back. You appear to be the font of all knowledge so it may pay for the club to appoint you as temporary coach.
Not asking for a temporary coach , there are good options available now and money talks , Rowley and Salford would not be able to turn Leeds down .

Signing Goudemand when what we needed was a power house prop similar.
Olpherts,Hooley, Roberts are shaping up to be silly or poor signings.
Croft,Ackers, McDonnell have been generally good despite how poor we are playing.
Jury out on Miller and Frawley but they have weaknesses that are exposed every game.
My thoughts before the season started were that we were much stronger and that RS would stay in post unless we were threatened with relegation.
What I wanted to see was better performances with more structure, less errors and less of the passive/ bonkers stuff.
What I have seen is a team & coach that can't fix basic skill issues, play to no structure, make the same mistakes and display the same attitude.
To be fair if i was on the jury it would not have taken long , one is a Seven a side player , the other is a Super League and N.R.L failure before coming to Leeds
I'd like to see us look better organised too, but if players keep on dropping the ball or missing 1:1 tackles your structure is worth nothing frankly. You can't apply structure if you're inviting to opposition to attack you all game.
Be an interesting next few fixtures. If Cas beat us at home I can only imagine the crowd...
Well, if we are going to recycle Rohan, the next six months could be a decent time to do it with the NRL merry-go-round.
Ultimately the players will have a lot to do with who coaches the team but - Brad Arthur would probably be my first choice. A decade of head coach experience in NRL, some very strong contacts with players too. Whether he would come to the UK when he has a lot of family commitments in Aus though.. not sure. He seems to be the kind of "father figure" coach that I think our young squad might need, maybe a little Graham Murray-esque in that regard.
Whoever we do get in, if we do replace RS, we need to back him with some money to make a couple of big signings for 2025 too.

We cannot afford anyone other than a coach with a proven track record at first grade. I know it doesn't guarantee anything, but we need to give ourselves the best possible chance of success.

Don`t know about that as he`s just signed (last week) a 2 year extension so at the very least Salford would receive a much bigger payout. Hull FC offered him a Quarter of a Million to go East and he turned them down so money obviously isnt the issue. His kids are at A Level stage so maybe next year his arm could be twisted.
