Personally I’d like to see as much a second string side as possible. Only two trophies up for grabs and risking one for a league game is naive IMO. I’d like to see Lindop, Wood, Bullock, Ratchford, Wrench, Holroyd etc etc. I don’t want to see Fitzgibbon, Dufty or Williams.
We are underdogs, but that's best for us. Two great teams, and a good match in nice weather, hopefully ending in us edging it slightly. I won't be too disheartened if we don't, based on Wigan on paper (and media hype) being way stronger than us.
Not a bad achievement for a brand new coach with a young squad with very few 'star' or 'world-class' (®St Helens Ltd/Saddened) players.

i think he will give anyone with a slight knock, the week off... everyone else plays... we may find quite a few players with niggles.
