I wouldn't worry about that brain Nazareth caretaker he probably hasn't kissed a women yet hence the pent up aggression..might be wrong tho if he as a sister
Fantastic team effort by the players yesterday, the defensive side was hugely impressive, everyone from 1-17 put a shift in. Burgess has instilled a sense of confidence and hunger to work for each other. Marshall is working wonders on developing the defensive system, with Gleeson working on the attacking structure, which is probably producing some of the leagues best free flowing rugby. Not getting carried away, just seeing how this team has improved in its game play, and the player’s belief in each other. From a couple of years back is good too see and kudos to coaches for their ability to make the difference in the players.
Kendall was truly awful for both teams, his obvious inability to make the game flow smoothly was clear to see for both sets of fans
Catalans attack was very clunky and not firing well enough to trouble the watertight defence of Wire.. I don’t think Wire really imposed themselves too much as an attacking threat to Catalans, unlike last week against Huddersfield. Seemed to be the game plan set out by Burgess, soak up some pressure then attack when necessary to score.
You hope Wire have no major bumps or bruises going into the two Wigan games. Am all for Burgess and Peet to play the strongest team for the league game, what a warm up for the challenge cup final. And real statement of intent, from both teams to show each other, that the two clubs mean business..
Really looking forward to seeing how this team is going to progress as the season heads towards the playoffs..
BD I think it's a case of Warrington 'couldn't' impose themselves on Cats, rather than it being a game plan to soak up pressure. They are a huge outfit up front and have some very very good players. Chris Satae was outstanding and the forward of the match for me. Desiria not far behind. Nevertheless Vaughan, Jimmy and co made a good fist of it.
I always thought Currie should play at 13 if we wanted the position to produce a ball handling skillful player who can hold their own in the middle. Another one who played well
