Simon Grix. Fax have made so many recruitment and retention errors over the past few seasons, its unreal. Doro one now who looks like he is going to be off back to SL with Hull KR. Given the reasons for letting him go maybe Fax had no choice but lets not foget before that incident he was hardly getting any game time anyway. Imagine the pack we could have now with the likes of Doro, Gwaze, Springer and others. Instead we are left with players that try hard.

If we were losing say 12-4 we could claim the effort was there, but injuries were affecting our attacking structure etc and there would be some justification.Conceding 40 points to a poor team who bombed various other line breaks confirms the exact opposite.

It’s for options if Jouffret isn’t fit along with JWH & Barber being missing.
Choice between Salty going to 1 and either McComb, Pons or McCormack into the backs or Widdop to 1 and Sinfield into the halves.
Davies returning earlier than expected along with the Ruan, options for the pack if McComb drops back.

PS: Or sack everything to do with the Leeds connection and play just with our own who are fit with no 9 not enough backs and Joufrett with a dodgy knee, that’s Finny’s other option for the weekend.

It’l be another tough game for a side that’s doing it tough in a season where nothing has clicked either in Attack or Defence.

That being the case I can’t decide wether to expect to see more of the same or to expect to see some improvement because we can’t play any worse.

It will be interesting to see how Fax line up. Jack Sinfield is supposed to be a bit of a live wire, hope he plays, and would make a refreshing change to see Pons and the Leeds kid on one flank which should add some punch.

Ruan wasn't very impressive tbh but McCormack was brilliant.

Seemed a better balance to the side this week which contributed to the result which they fully deserved.
They’d looked at and trained with a couple of options that I’d mentioned in an earlier post to do with the backs and second row.
Apart from those already ruled out the biggest doubt was LJ and with him coming through they went with him and Keyes in the halves (who went well) with Keyes, Salty, McCormack outstanding and Louis and a few others not far behind.
Widdop going to 1 organised the defensive line much better than what we’ve seen before and he backed up well in attack on a couple of occasions.
Completion rate dropped off a bit second half which affected the field position but the D held out when being tested.
Tough selection decisions for Finn next week if the same lads are available if JWH and Barber come back into contention on whether to change a winning side.
Too soon to see if a corner has been turned and need to back it up but I’ll gladly take the 2 points.
