Last year it was that we haven't got a settled spine, now it's that we are having to play players out of position (in the 2nd row). All sides have injuries and shuffle sides around, if you have a settled spine you can have no excuses.
Having watched the post match interview back i couldn't believe that he was blaming the fact that 'we have had to play saints twice for why our league position isn't good. Does he not realise that we have only picked up points against teams in the bottom half of the table, the fixtures so far have MASSIVELY inflated our posiiton. We are higher up the table because we have got blowout scores against London, Castleford, and Hull! We have lost to every single top six side we have played. We have lost comfortably to two teams who are spending less cap than we are (Hull KR, Salford). We have lost every single home game so far this year. Get a grip mate, your team is massively underperforming and it is down to your mismanagement of the cap and negative coaching.
We are being saved this year purely by a challenge cup run which, when it ends should spell the end of Watson. Huddersfield are far too used to mediocrity and putting up with spending joint 3rd most cap and being 8th in the table, losing every game at home, is not in this world good enough. He said before the loss to Salford he was 'happy with where we were'. We were gash last year, and we are slightly less gash this year, if we had the cap of Castleford or London it would be excusable, with the money we have spent on the team it is nowhere near good enough and his bull**** excuses wont gloss that over.
He's a terrible coach. Boring outlook on how the game should be played and blames anyone and everything but himself. Odd how salford didn't suddenly go downhill after he left.
