Lets look at wigan, Radlinski is CEO (or something similar) i think it’s a real shame that Sinfield decided that a job upstairs wasn’t for him, i think we may need some younger management to be honest.
We do have some good players coming through and the squad is not as bad as that performance tonight.
Agree on that. It has to be something systemic rather than just a sacking of the coach. Trend-wise it's been going south for nearly a decade now (some might say longer than that) and it needs a radical overhaul.
Remember when we had a decent team, and we used to see Leeds quite regularly have a narrow lead or even be behind against bad teams, only to run away at the end with a lot of points? That's us in reverse now.

If (or its more likely when) Smith goes that's 4 coaches sacked in 6 years.
That seems tgeres a more deep-rooted problem to me.
If we get a new coach in they have to be someone whose primary objective is to get us back to the top, with junior development the only other thing that matters. They have to be given free reign to be utterly ruthless when it comes to staff and players, as it feels like the club is more interested in being cuddly and having a pleasant atmosphere producing 'good human beings' and looking after former players rather than a sporting entity whose purpose is trying to win competitions.
Smith said the performance in the second half wasn't good enough, and when pushed admitted there wasn't anything positive to take from it. I think though that the bigger problem in some ways was the first half, because while we were close on the scoreboard we were really miles off, and the players seemed to know it. We're fast getting back to Agar-ville where the players have no confidence at all in what's happening.

I dont think the set up is wrong we have the best facilities but i dont think we've had a top coach in the mould of Murray or Tony Smith.McDermott was our most successful but he had the best pool of players this club has probably ever had.I remember Sinfield saying he rated McDermott a 7 out of ten not really excelling in any of the coaching duties.Who ever the next coach is not only does he need to be very good he'll also need to do some surgery on this squad as far too many are not up to it.The pack is where it should start too many small backrowers and we need more grunt up front.

Smith has to be fair been given free reign you can’t say he hasn’t been ruthless in getting rid of players we've had a huge turnover since he came in.

As above Smith has done huge amounts of surgery to the squad, and it is difficult to replace a full squad in the time he’s had.
I personally don’t think the squad is too far off, we are however desperate for some hard running forwards.
