The reality is no one knows how Cartwright will do or any appointment for that matter. But he has the experience in the the NRL, played over here and has said what we want to hear. The next thing is changing the playing staff to those who can implement what he wants. Doesn’t matter how brilliant a coach he is he requires those on the pitch to have the potential & credentials. I’m unsure of the Leigh signings, Asiata aside, but if they are for the youth to learn from which JC has alluded tothen I’m optimistic. I hope Grix stays -he will have learned a lot this season
A new coach thread and it turns into a 3 page discussion on rovers again! I just don’t think HB had this in mind with his comment but it’s a lol thread for the rest of us.
Onto the appointment, nobody knows if it’s good or bad. But he’s been in the game long enough and should have some great contacts in the NRL to attract players which should improve you naturally, regardless of tactics or motivation just having better players is a starting point. Nobody knew of peters, he’s done very well. Everybody knew of Tony smith, he was terrible. Sometimes it’s about timing and clean slates for success and let’s be honest the only way is up so should be a pretty safe appointment you’d expect

Wow, I'm astounded at the success.... no I really am . With statements like that it just shows the mentality and bet you all celebrate the opening of an envelope.
Back on topic I'm more than happy with Cartwright who certainly as all the right credentials for the job at hand. The fact he has the build and growth at the Titans on his CV for me is a big plus. Looking at everything I think he is probably a better option overall than Rowley if I'm being honest.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
Really happy with this - great fit for us , even Matty Johns had his say saying he will go well and will be good to see a great club like hull back up there - Brisbane fans were worried he would leave straight away and derail their season so he’s well thought of as their defence and middle attack coach
Cartwright is a states and process coach like Hodgson was for you. Technically very good but in a system that needs 5 drives and a kick. Over here he will be a couple of years understanding the difference. I think you have the wrong man. Justin Morgan was your best bet.

Course he was, surprised you didn't apply for the job given your vast knowledge on everything that's best for Hull fc, apart from winning trophies of course.
We need someone who focuses on fitness and defence. If we get those 2 right we will be a lot more competitive. Cartwright is a good option for us. Morgan would have been another tony smith with the current set up and squad
