Why would he want to kick his eels over there on a temporary basis in a no win situation. Surely he would want to come here and bed himself in so he can hit the ground running next season.

Because here he's competing with part timers.
There he's playing against Lomax and Williams.

I haven't seen any of that.

The only thing I agree with is that halfbacks of decent quality are thin on the ground, even in Australia. In that recent Podcast with Gale, he speaks about the issue of how there's a current dearth of good halfbacks. He talks about speaking to Lawford when he's had poor games and he's said he's told him it's just part of learning the game and it just takes far longer to become a class Half than any other position. As he said to Lawford, he's been taken off plenty of times, even in his prime because he just wasn't cutting it, so just keep playing and don't take it to heart.

They almost cancel each other out imo. He's been playing against those guys for a bit now & if he comes early he can start what can be a lengthy period bedding in with the team and getting to know how to play with the other half you're paired with. Swings and roundabouts.

We all know some players play better for different clubs but ability & talent still counts, also Huddersfield only ever get rid of player's who they consider mediocre or spent ! That can be unfair to individual's & this may be the case ! I don't think they will let him play for us before next season etc

Yeah, I've been watching it. He's played pretty well tbh, on the ball practically every set and has tried his hardest to make something happen, which he nearly did with that little kick-through. Hudds are just lacking a bit more cutting-edge at the moment though.

I quite like the look of Ed Chamberlain at centre for Leigh and I think he’s out of contract. Certainly looks like a pretty good centre and at 28 could be a good pick up.

Hall has had a good game for Cas tonight too.

Top six 2005 - Trinity.

Watched the second half of the cas game… Hall looked ok I thought… Scott never got a look in as the Hull spine and middles were so inept it was embarrassing…
Hull got 1 out of 10 for their overall performance… Cas were a 4or5 out of 10.

When I watch the Giants, Esan Marsters always catches my eye. He seems to have been about the most consistent Hudds player this year IMO.

Chamberlain did okay but just looking, he hasn't half clocked up a serious amount of clubs so far in his career, not that's a bad thing, he probably just needs to find a decent club to settle at.

I think a few players are playing at Clubs that are just not working for them at the moment, either because the teams are poor or inconsistent, or the Coach isn't getting the most out of them and they're shot of confidence. There seems to be quite a few players around SL that are not playing to the standard we've seen from them in previous years and are generally in a bit of a rut in average to poor teams.

Russell for example seemed to work hard and did everything he could to get Hudds playing well, but they seem to lack the speed and a cutting edge to make the most of his passes and kicks.

Similarly at Hull, Scott just doesn't get a look in, he's part of a team that's completely lost its way and he's no doubt struggling with confidence because I would be playing for them. Hull just doesn't look like they practise together and haven't a clue in attack or defence for that matter. I thought it was notable when Houghton went off, they had that decent spell at the end. The kid who replaced him just quickened their game up, which in turn lifted the team and they started to play with more freedom.

Also as others have mentioned, Corey had probably his best game in ages but Hull gave him space to work, but you can only play what's in front of you and he looked more up for it and involved and played with a smile on his face that I haven't seen from him for a while.
