There is more than enough quality in the 17 to be at least competitive, irrelevant of injuries. A week off and still another 20+ points loss. All 6 losses, we have never been in it (22 point avg.) Stinks of lack of resilience. We are getting pumped. It's not a case of one- score losses. Anything to suggest things will change? Loss against Donny then surely he has to go.
I don't think we do have the quality, especially with the players available at the moment. Take our starting pack yesterday, at least 3 wouldn't get in any other championship team. Same to be said of our outside backs (exc JWH). Writing was on the wall last year and could be seen in early season games where we even struggled to put amateur teams away as well as we should have done. Retained too many players who are past their best and seem to have lost their passion. And brought in some players who are of lower quality. Then top this off with clear lack of shape in attack an even more so in defence.
And then we have either no money and/or no clout (or a stubbornness) to bring loan or new players in. We knew 3 months ago we had several key players out for a long period, yet have failed to bring in replacements, the club even suggesting there is no one available despite all other clubs being able to do this. To the extent now that this is getting to be a lack of player welfare. Rumour is at least 1 other (key) player is wanting out.

Does it really matter? The RFL has destroyed the Championship with its absurd IMG system plus it's impossible to compete with money bags Wakey anyway.
Ironically it'll be more entertaining and meaningful watching Fax in a relegation scrap as we'll have something to play for - survival.
It's got to the stage where I hate Super League and everything they stand for. It was pleasing to see loads of empty seats at the CC semis and teams like Cas and Hull getting thrashed in the league, not just because they have 'orrible fans, but it shows the SL is failing in what they're trying to pathetically achieve.

I agree. Watching the NRL magic weekend just shows what can be achieved in this sport but the people who are in charge have made a mess of it. Going right back to when SL was set up and they sold our sport to the devil (sky). It won’t ever recover and the championship and championship 1 are going to be left to drift away and die. As such the SL will get weaker and the international fixtures will just be England getting smashed.

Sky appear to be losing interest in SL with ever decreasing contract renewals. plus they're farming out live games to the BBC who I'm guessing will pay nak all. SL clubs are relying more on sugar daddies who won't be around forever.
Let's breakaway and go back to winter rugby. Oh how I loved watching Fax at thrummers on a cold boxing day under the lights!

Nail on the head. This team is nearly full of players of who needed easing out at least 1-2 seasons ago. Finn has been well and truly dealt a crap hand, the frustrating thing is that in key positions where other teams in the championship struggle we have a 1,6,7,9 (albeit injured) who are getting in to any other team, we just don't have the supporting cast. 2 seasons with only 1 centre, that is just dire mismanagement. A winger playing at loose forward for the last few games, I mean who looks at that and doesn't think there is a problem?
On top of that we have a jobs for the boys culture at the club and a BOD who just wanted a hobby horse and now look like they are not up to the task. The club looks in a dire situation at this point and relegation is certainly a possibility.

Irrespective of whether one thinks the BOD is up to the task or not, at least they've put their necks on the block and are trying to do their best for the club, and I'm sure they'd welcome anybody on board if they think they can do better.
Difference of opinions over the players, coach and board over the varies social media channels as you would expect.
Some think the players are capable of doing better some think several are past it.
Likewise some think Finn should be doing a better job, others he’s doing the best with what he’s got.
Probably a bit of both with both but we’re not improving and every game shows the same things, we’ve never been in with much of a chance in any of them.
We look the worst we’ve ever looked in both in attack and defence with the same things talked about needing fixing that go unfixed each week we’re we’ve played on every type of pitch in every type of weather with the same showing.
It’s obvious that with what and who we have on the playing and coaching staff things aren’t going to change and there’s no new board waiting to take over.
I get why he’s backing the players in public but it’s not how the public / supporters are seeing things or in the week after week the performances / results or in some of his team selections / comments.
He’s being politically kind and correct or he’s miss judging things, either way he needs to bending the Boards ears big time and say to have any real chance of getting back on track either get at least 2 or 3 decent players in whatever it takes or we may be facing some even more serious consequences.
Maybe just over optimism but I still feel that’s all we need, an aggressive prop who can dent the line in the middle and get us going forward and an aggressive centre / centres who can do the same on the edge.
