Can’t be nice for friends and especially family either though.
After the Premier league darts last night they had a program on after called "away from the oche" (I think) and it dealt with a few of the players Luke Humphries, Michael Smith and especially Nathan Aspinall.
Nathan was very pragmatic that you could send him abuse all you want but once it strays into bringing in his family in to things because you cant get a rise out of him then there's the major red line. He even had to report some of this garbage to the police it was that bad and he took things like that very badly as any father would "Im just out here to try and provide for my kids and family" was his forlorn reply to questions about it.
The same people who are happy to anonymously send this abuse are generally the first ones to say "oh whys he quit etc he was a decent player etc etc" Its not "banter" its abuse and unfortunately its rampant at the moment with multiple social media channels.
