Would hope for better than Abdull as our 7. Poor injury record and his physique is a mess. Disgrace for a pro sportsman.
Also Cator should be nowhere near the starting 9 shirt. If he is to stay, should be back up 13 to Asiata until Armstrong is ready. He’d still get plenty of minutes/games I imagine.

Has that anything to do with his playing ability or coaching the kids? His off field issues are known. Why keep bringing them up? He’s with us for a while so why drag up his past? A positive spin is experience, don’t do what I have done and this is how to play centre/full back, kids. Hardaker may not be the perfect signing but let’s see the upside, perhaps

Jesus……some of the comments about Abdul’s physique/weight are bordering on insulting…he has always had issues with his weight and physique, maybe one of those people no matter what he does he can’t improve his physique.Actually thought he played well last night…my only concern with him as a 7 is it wouldn’t give us any speed at all and always thought he was a 13 but got Asiata for that role.As for Hardaker…whe hat got him so move on,let’s see how he goes before we slag him him off but won’t stop certain posters mentioning it every post

Norton a better 13 than Hsnley?
I saw a little of Norton, but that was at the end of his career and I was only a young kid. I watched the 85 final, but I wouldn't call myself a judge then, I do remember that Sterling was good for us. My rugby league knowledge judgment comes from about 88
Norton was a superb ball handling 13 and best I’ve seen in a hull shirt(apart from sterling for 1 season).Hanley was a freak of a player. He was ahead of his time tbh and could play now he was that good. From your era of watching..the closest to Norton was Jason Smith imo.

Anyone can eat healthily, and not fill your body with crap that makes you pile weight on, particularly when your performance in your well paid job is affected by it. He's not sat in front of a computer all day.

If rumours are true (I doubt they all will be) this looks like our 17 currently for next year. I’m assuming Ligi and Okunbor won’t be here:
1. Jack walker 2. Tom briscoe 3. Sutty 4. Hardaker/ Rogue 5. Martin 6 Truey 7. Abdul 8. Ashworth 9. Quota hooker 10. Herman 11. Staveley 12. Holmes 13. Asiata 14. Pele 15. Satae 16. O Connor 17. Lane
That leaves us 2 quota spots to hopefully bring in a backrower and Centre. Should it all come off, I do think we’ve got a side that can challenge for the top 6
