Not convinced he'll sign for us, Hull, feel it's a bit of agent talk with the jobs he's been linked to in the last week or 2.

Maybe just trying to force Beaumonts arm?

Really weird situation all around to be honest. I really can't fathom why we have allowed him to get to a stage he's OOC in a few months, we should have renewed him last year after the euphoria of Wembley and making the play offs. We're now in a vulnerable position that Hull are exploiting who seems to have stumbled upon him after wanting Rowley.

For what it's worth, I think Lam's main goal is to coach in the NRL, hence him being non committal and referencing a 'poker face' rather than answer the question of his career. To be fair, I think with that in mind, I think he renews at Leigh with a NRL clause. The Hull job is a rebuilding one that doesn't put him in the shop window like the job he's currently doing does.

Lammy works on an ad hoc basis to which i think he will see this 5 year plan through for the Leigh Leopards to the end imo. The Hull job looks more dangerous for ones reputation the more & more we look at it. However, Asiata has hit the jackpot to secure his family's future financially. Our season has been so difficult with too many disruptions (due to injuries), and we've had to try and find our feet too many time so far. Can we get it together just in time to make the playoffs? In all honesty, I don't know.

We were rumoured to have offered Rowley a 3 year deal on 200k a year. It looks like the money is there for us to make an over inflated deal.

We've signed Briscoe, Asiata and Holmes for next year. If you listen to the rumours online we've made a marquee offer for Amone too.

Looks like we're raiding you guys. Which might he a coincidence as you've got a fair few OOC and our squad has a real lack of quality, but it's a bit strange to see us now linked with Lam

The rules for Marquee signings:
Club-Trained Marquee Players count as £50,000;
Federation-Trained Marquee Players count as £100,000;
Non-Federation Trained Marquee Players count as £150,000

For Hull John Asiata becomes the non-fed Marquee at £220K a year but only £150K counts to the salary cap
Tuimavave is rumoured to be on over £150K so he does not marquee status
and an attempt to lure Tom Amone at marquee prices would also not have marquee status

If Hull think they can compile the rest of the squad able to compete with less than £1.5M then good luck. I wouldn't trust Myler with my money.

Lammy has stated previously that he prefers to work on short contracts. His reasoning is that he needs to work harder to earn his next contract. I doubt he will sign more than 2 years but he is a man of honour and he loves the town, the club and his team.

Can't see Myler lasting long at Hull, to tell you the truth. Slimey and sly. Why would you want to work with someone like him. Burgess should have flattened him.

Lammy won't be taking that poisoned chalice of a job.

Is this because of Myler's behaviour? I certainly would like to think it is.

That's what i meant when i stated ( Ad Hoc) An ad hoc activity or organization is not planned in advance, but is done or formed only because a particular situation has made it necessary)) but, I think he will see the 5 year plan through imo.
