Second half, even when they scored which was mostly off of our discipline, we just upped our game a notch and ran away with it.

Lino, I just can't figure out. Everything is so predictable.

Next week I suspect we will rotate a bit, with the semi the week after, which for me is far more important.

Without the piggy back from our indiscipline, I dont think they would have scored.
Lino certainly seemed to be venting his anger over something but, it ultimately cost us a try.

Not for me.
He's a decent defensive half. That's a long way from being a decent defending hooker. He'd get mashed imho

I’m not a fan of Atoni starting. He’s seems to be far more effective in his second spell. For me he’s much more of an impact style forward.

I’d like to see Rodwell start (who is quality in my opinion) as he’s capable of big minutes and goes about his work throughout his spells very efficiently. He’s more suited to the initial arm wrestle/feeling out period than Atoni is for me.

A fresh Atoni vs a slightly fatigued defence is best use of his attributes in my opinion.

Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

Our defence was top notch in that first 30mins .Toulouse never looked like scoring until we gave them a penalty. I think it says something about your defence when the opposition get a penalty and are in your 30 for the first time and they opt to take two…
I thought Toulouse had a bit of success in the first half unraveling that runaround move we do with Max Jowitt .some of it was our errors but coaches and opposition teams are going to pick up on this as the season progresses and we’re going to need other options and moves to keep them guessing..
We also have great success using the route one approach.when we pick up our tempo teams just can’t live with it resulting in tries like the one Atoni scored..

Anyway who the alternative to Lino at SH?

Lino puts pressure on himself. He’s constantly looking for the magic pass or incredible step. I’m not against this, but there is a time and place. We’d beaten them when Lino put out that silly short ball. Luckily the cover got there, but if he’d been a quicker player they would have scored and been back in the game with ten to go. You don’t throw passes like that when the rest do the team just want to run the clock down. DId the same at Fev.

Somebody should give him the mantra, ‘a time and a place’.

Did you see that Thaler nearly got levelled by Atoni in the act of scoring his try ??
He had to get a real shift on to get out of the way and was laughing his head off immediately afterwards

Coming down on top of Thaler would've been a softer landing. There's plenty of padding there these days

I don't disagree with any of that and as I'm not a coach I'll sit back and see what happens.
One for sure we need better service from both half backs in my opinion.

Caleb Uele is the guest on BBC Radio Leeds at the end of the rugby league coverage about 5pm.
