On the whole still a positive day in my opinion, we now know the club have somewhere in the region of £150k to be signing coaches so that as much as confirms we have the investment.
We have swapped a very average McIntosh for someone who may be getting old but is a winner and I've never heard anyone have a bad word about off the field. We've also added Chamberlain to boost our woeful back line.
Yes not getting Rowley is a blow but it's still only April, plenty of time before next pre season starts. Some fans need to remember it was only a couple of weeks where it felt like we had no money and we're stuck with Smith for the foreseeable

lot of doom merchants on here,ok we are poor at the moment, but things will improve.if you take, wigan, sts and wigan out the mix,we have won more in the last few years than the rest of the league.when was the last time, salford, cas, london, hudd or dobbins won out?cats and lrigh have won the cup once and wire havent won out.so rowley turns us down, big deal.

If its true that the club leaked the the interest in Rowley to the HDM and created the media frenzy in an effort to make a statement of intent then it was naive Whether this was Myler or the club it still makes us look unprofessional. Still dont understand signing more average players on loan deals when we have seven of our own players back shortly.Save the money and invest wisely for next season and bring in the quality we need.. Will Chamberlain and Briscoe make any difference whether we finish second bottom or third bottom the answer is no. Will it bring in any more fans and the answer is no If this is the club being proactive in player loans/recruitment then we are just bin dipping

Disappointing about Rowley but I always thought he was unlikely to come. He'll get a job much nearer home in the not too distant future at a club in a much better situation than we are
I hope we go for an overseas coach who can add some toughness and resilience to us
