Salford looking like they will be more financially secure when the council take over the ground and likely to get a gig at somewhere better than us if he bides his time plus he won't have too uproot and move across the other side of the country

I agree with you on this Jake but surprised that Salford have even given FC the go ahead to speak with him

They're still broke. He might turn us down but if cash is on offer I don't think Salford are in a position to turn it down.

Rowley may also be sick of rebuilding every 12 months.

Well that won't change if he comes to Hull! :D

Not with a view of him actually doing much this year, but just to give him a chance to take a look at the players this year and see if there's any he would like to move on, clearing some deadwood basically, before we start 2025 with them already on the books.

I would imagine he would know who needs moving on anyway, bringing him in early could work if the fan base got behind him. Its jjst far too toxic at FC at the moment, zero patience from the fan base. A few bad results they would be on his back, nothings changed bla bla.

The sooner people realise this isnt an overnight fix the better in my view. I just cant help but feel we knock everything down we are trying to build.

I dont think he will come, id be surprised if any good players or top coaches would want this gig regardless of the money involved. Far too toxic, your talking about a club that is so far distance from its supporters and broke so many players and coaches.

I like everyone want a wand to wave overnight fix it but we saw last year with the calibre of players leaving to what come through the door. Nobody wants to touch this club with a barge pole at the moment, believe you that.

It would have to be serious money for Rowley to even think about coming here.

Sadly, you speak a lot of sense there. Let's hope there's some prophecy in that last sentence and it is big money, because he's probably the right guy for the job under the current circumstances.

There will be plenty of coaches interested in the Hull gig.

Absolutely agree with those saying that our fan base has become toxic. I aren't blaming them fully though as I feel the club has a lot to blame on that front. But I saw reactions on social media on Friday night showing that some people seemed surprised that everything wasn't magically better now that Smith has gone. It was never that simple and whoever comes in has a job on their hands to win over the fan base it seems. Which is sad as what they really need is patience and time from both the club and the fans.

Hull won’t be offering any contracts if they don’t know there’s concrete interest.

Also, Myler might be selling someone the club based on what is going to happen, not where we are now?

I hope we get Rowley and I hope he joins us immediately.

This season is gone already, but I would want him on board as soon as possible. Next season’s recruitment needs to start now.

Other than our two recent Wembley cup wins, Hull have underachieved for too long, and hence have the biggest potential. We are one of Top 4 biggest clubs along with Wigan, Saints and Leeds. I can see why a Coach would want to come to Hull and be the one who finally takes Hull that extra mile.
