The biggest task for me at the club is getting the fanbase on board. For me it hasnt helped this past few seasons.

I feel like the next 7 days are pivotal for the club. Bringing in a loan signing or two and potentially leaking some news would paper over the cracks for a little longer I think. Providing them a bit more time to make a sustained change.

Perham being available for the Leeds game would’ve been handy. We need some strike out wide. But we also need some backs that can start sets. A lot of a coaches don’t like middles taking Those back line carries. Potentially why we don’t see it much atm. Issue is we don’t have backs who can smash exit sete

plus we dont have any centres with pace or strike
Still dont see the point of bringing in any short term loans when we have seven of our own players back shortly.
Its hardly going to make a difference to our S/L final position and the kind of players available are unlikely to add real value to the team.
The club need a huge purge of bang average players currently on the books and all their energy should be finding and attracting quality players in to the club with the approval of the new coach to come in.
I would also send Myler out to Australia for several weeks with the objective of face to face meetings with player agents and the chance to speak with players who could possibly be available next season.

I’d agree with sending Myler out to Oz for a period and would even look at trying to get Motu on board in some capacity too in the southern hemisphere.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I know deny rumours doesn't always mean it's not happening. Just thought I'd share it anyway.

His last tweet on this looks a bit of a u turn

Motu offered his services last season.
But we keep fishing in the same pond, Canterbury, which in recent seasons are in similarity to us,are a basket case of a club.
Maybe Clarke is accepting O'Meley's recommendations, and this also reduces Canterburys spend on the salary cap, and helping his mates find a job.
hopefully myler will speak to briers and monaghan, about nrl players.

Intetesting to read in HDM this morning about Jack Walker’s return and that the intensity in training has stepped up a gear under Grixy. He says it’s been refreshing. Also that players are being pulled up ans spoken to. Makes me wonder what was going on before?

Think Smith was an odd character, certainly had his favourites.

Sounds like the intensity in training reflected Smith's laid back persona, also that Grix potentially had little input into what went on previously if it's a "refreshing" change under him?

I think it was at the start of last season that he was on about wanting to build up our fitness over the course of the season? So we didn't burn out halfway through? In hindsight, that sounds very laid back and it clearly didn't work!
