Leigh deserved the points. We were 2nd in desire, enthusiasm and skill. We could have be more down at half time if their left edge had taken their chances. BUT fair play to our resilience. Very tight match. Lachlan Fitzgibbon deservedly mom. A lot to work on though for us.

We were flat today for some reason. Never really got firing like we have been. I don't think we were awful tbh. We were basic but the good news is our basic is better than a flowing Leigh team.
That Hardaker knock on was fortunate for us.
What's the old saying? If you're playing bad and winning...........
Sorry guys but I disagree with a lot of the points on here. I strongly suspect that fatigue was the problem. Nothing to do with desire. They were in Saints faces at every play last week and it takes a toll. Saints might have had the same problem after the Wigan and Cats games. Leigh gave it everything and you could see that from the number of their players sitting on the field at the end of the match. Plus as has been said the reffing was poor and the offside rule broken most of the game.
We didn't play particularly well with Williams under par (particularly his kicks) but we got the result in the end.
Rode our luck today. By no means were we poor but we definitely lacked a bit of zip, shape and imagination for long periods. Leigh are a decent side though and contributed to an excellent game.
Not a great game but love the resilience and finding a way to get a result. The race for the playoffs is tight, we need to grab whatever points we can and bank them.
The next three are all tricky, with expectations for us to win, then leading into the cup game. It’s going to test the squad, but I would try and aim up for next week with a similar 17 and look to rest some for the Hull game.
Hopefully we’ll have a fresh Musgrove and Currie to add into the mix before Hull KR and the Cup, but Harrison, Dufty, Ashton and Walker need to have a rest at some point as the big games come thick and fast after then next two weeks.
Fatigued and given 2 days off to wet the win. It showed. But that will also just won, means that Sam and his coaching team know where we’re at, and took a calculated risk over Sunday night celebration.
