Have heard that, of the three names shortlisted by Myler, one has become a preferred/favourite for the job and that an approach has been made. Sadly no names mentioned.

I still hope for Briers, think he is the most realistic out of the decent coaches that have been linked.
Don't think Holdbrook will come, turned down Warrington who are a bigger draw than us. Don't think Salford will let Rowley go, we will pay a big fee and not sure he would leave.
No doubt there will be some wildcards, probably not mentioned on here.

The tone of which it was told indicated that they are currently employed, I would therefore suspect it would be for next season, and that Grix will see out the remainder of Season, with the new appointment working with Myler in the background on recruitment etc.

It's also not just about contacts within the game that's important these days but also in the wider world of business, which Myler has access too.
It may or may not work but as we have seen at Hull FC there are simply no guarantees whichever road we travel but its clear something needed doing in terms of radical change and we are seeing that, time will tell if it works or not but do feel looking at things as a whole we are already in a much better position.
you can make a case for anyone coming into the role but it doesnt mean its a good appointment

I notice you are quick to judge posters who don't agree with your position in all things FC. I don't feel the need to explain but will just say i have good contacts at both Rovers and FC and also a few in the amateur game which i also follow.
Was it the same 'good contact' whio fed you this
