Now its official that Myler is the clubs D.O.R I think its important we throw our support behind him as a collective. Yes he may be inexperienced but as I mentioned on a previous post and as others have also said we aren't an attractive prospect currently despite rumour/reports of serious investment incoming.
I'm pretty sure whoever is putting investment in to the club, they will be pretty savvy people to have got to where they are and will no doubt have had an input in to the DOR position. They certainly wouldn't want a total yoyo put in place so I do believe there is to be some merit in the arrival of Myler.
Currently what we do know is despite his D.O.R inexperience he is a huge step in the right direction/improvement compared to having Clark or Adam himself involved in that role.
We as fans asked for change and a structural change from top to bottom and we are now seeing that take place so we need to just take stock and see what other changes take place before we judge.
I have been critical of the club from AP down and believe rightly so, but I am willing to give Myler a chance to see what he can deliver.
As for a coach I think it would have to be Rowley or someone who from down under.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Sorry missed that just to clarify there were three of them from the mail working on this from Thursday afternoon onwards it was just Matt Shaw that got it verified and so wrote the story, however that doesn't necessarily mean he sourced it in the first place, but as long as fans we continue to get the inside track in that way that's all that matters.

I havnt a clue who would be available for this role and similarly the player aquisitions we need but just feel we should be making a statement of intent in the signings including the DOR.but it seems this appointment comes with strings. To bring the criticism by myself of this appointmment to an end on here i will again take your advice and give him a chance. That said i just dont see any ambition from the club and feel Pearson is only around now to try and recover his initial investment in the club
Good that you’re going to give Myler a chance . We have no choice. remember Pearson has put loads of money into the club. As regards ambition well that’s dictated a lot by money. Pearson has s sought investment and he has incentive to be ambitious so I would disagree with you there. There has been a lot wrong with the club and I think sacking TS was not sourcing the problem but possibly axing the solver. It will take a long time and we have to be better fans though our negativity has been justified. We won’t beat Saints but having a dig would satisfy me

Realistically I don’t think we’ll win any of our next three games v Sts, Leeds and Warrington. We need to be patient.
Firstly, we need to choose the right Coach and get them in place over the next 2 weeks.
We need 3-4 players now to bolster our weak squad. Short term deals if necessary. We have to replace Hoy, Brown plus need 2 others. Ideally a half, centre and 2 forwards.
We need to stem the flow of big defeats. May provides an opportunity to beat London and Castleford. With Trueman, Walker and Fash returning and hopefully the new above additions, then we can hopefully be more competitive in games for the rest of the season and demonstrate a change some green shoots of improvement to the fans.
Concurrently we need to re-build for next season. The recruitment really needs to be spot on. There’s scope to make good changes this close season and add more quality for 2025. I expect most of the current squad won’t be here in 2026, we should be aiming to improve in all positions.
I expect things to get worse on the pitch before they get better. May looks better for us fixture wise and hopefully some more changes can be made to allow us to start improving for the rest of the season.

Would say that's a fair summary. This season for me is as good as done and over for us but that said we use the rest of this season to get the right people in all other things in place ready for the start of pre season 2025.
Theres a huge amount of work to be done on and off the field and most fans will accept we aren't going to be ripping up trees as long as changes are being seen to be made and we can see the affects and improvements from where we are now. Unfortunately despite Smiths experience & track record there has been little, if any evidence of at all of the changes and structures that needed putting in during his tenure regardless of budgets and talent in the squad.
