Seeing Andy Last's name up there reminded me of what I heard yesterday, about his son's. Apparently he has 2 son's playing at U14's level (I might have that wrong), but every SL club wants them - they are meant to be very good. However, they won't sign for a club until they are 16. Lasty has said it's up to them where they go, he will leave it to them, and if they want to come to Hull, that's fine. Apparently Leeds want to sign them now, and have offered Scholarship terms, and would only need to train once a week, but they have said no.
Mcguire turned down the Cas job, but looking at their squad and resources that's a wise decision. Might be different if the job came with resources.

Does Wane fancy a challenge?
Only can think of Anderson that might be available.
At the end of the day there is only a limited number of head coach jobs available at a top level club. 12 here and 17 in Australia. So yeah I agree that even though they have good jobs right now at Wigan in a winning team and probably earning good money, the lure of a top level job could force their hand. Not just the Wigan lot but assistant coaches from anywhere.
I did wonder if Shenton could be one of the potential candidates. Hasn't had much experience just yet but seemed highly thought of previously at the club. 1 year assistant at Wakey isn't the best experience but he might feel he's ready for more.

If we are looking domestically, as the indications would appear to be, then we are probably looking along the lines of McGuire, Danny Ward, or maybe someone like Chev Walker or Martin Gleeson!
However, if there's one thing the past few days have taught us, where Fc are concerned, then it is to expect the unexpected, as in the COMPLETELY unexpected. We all speculated on potential candidates for the DOR role and not one of us was even in the ballpark when it came to Saturday's stunning announcement.
I don't think I would be surprised any more if we appointed, say, Jack Welsby as player-coach on a six year deal. Some of the events surrounding our club these past few days have been so left-field that I have seriously stopped trying to second guess where we are heading. The whole atmosphere around the club has become so bizarre, almost surreal. It'll be a brave person who stakes anything on what we might do next!
The appointment of Myler has raised eyebrows within the game, to say the least!, I have a funny feeling the same is going to happen with the new coach. Think it's going to be another left-field slap across the chops for all of us!!!
I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.

hmm someone , somewhere mentioned Stephen Kearney on another thread - he doesn't appear to have been picked-up since he left Melbourne Storm last year

Has been an excellent Assistant Coach. But failed miserably as a Manager..

I hope Myler waits until the end of the season, to appoint our new Manager. I can't see anyone who is currently a Head Coach, leaving their employment.. Also give Grix a chance until the end of the season, nothing to lose..
