I have a feeling our new coach might be domestic. If we’re down to a 3 man shortlist, I’d imagine names would be in the aus media if the were from there

Apart from Rowley and McNamara, who else is realistic or available domestically? Not either of them are realistic, but maybe money and the lure of a (hometown) challenge could tempt them.
Who are Wigans assistants , O Loughlin wouldn't leave, Tommy L, would he come, is he experienced enough, I do like the fact of any player or coach coming from a club like Wigan, with such a great ethos.

Having thinking about the news which broke over the weekend, i certainly think they are positives in the appointment of Myler.
Firstly, we didn't have a DoR previously, that in itself means it is an upgrade on what we had before. It allows AP and the DJ to get on with which, to their credit, they are actually good at, which is further sourcing marketing and further investment etc. Fresh out the game, Myler has been a part of several big and successful clubs, meaning he knows what foundations are needed to build from. I would also like to think that Myler is well connected, he's been around the modern game for a long time and would be able to reach out to recruitment targets on both sides of the world. I quite like the fact that he has no connection to Hull prior to this appointment, with completely fresh ideas. There is also the investment which appears may come hand in hand with his appointment.
Of course, the elephant in the room is that this is a complete rogue appointment , in which it will be Mylers first off-file job at a club, and talk about been chucked in the deep end. This is arguably the hardest job in Rugby League currently, the task at hand is colossal, could it be too much to handle for someone who has zero experience in being in this role?
Overall, its certainly one that's caught peoples attention, he will have the support from the vast majority of us. I am hopeful that he is given the funds to properly help in rebuilding this club.

Haven't all the Wigan coaching staff recently signed something like 7 year deals. Would take hell of a sale pitch (and bag of cash) to get then to leave there. All non starters in my opinion.

Probably right, only if they fancy being a head coach would they leave, no real chance of replacing Peat.
Does Wane fancy a challenge?
Only can think of Anderson that might be available.

Head a rumour of Danny McGuire yesterday, but can't see it as it was only a few months ago that he thought he wasn't ready for a Head Coach position.
Seeing Andy Last's name up there reminded me of what I heard yesterday, about his son's. Apparently he has 2 son's playing at U14's level (I might have that wrong), but every SL club wants them - they are meant to be very good. However, they won't sign for a club until they are 16. Lasty has said it's up to them where they go, he will leave it to them, and if they want to come to Hull, that's fine. Apparently Leeds want to sign them now, and have offered Scholarship terms, and would only need to train once a week, but they have said no.
