At first I thought Myler wtf??
But then when I think on it does make some sense, his girlfriends dad is rich and sounds like he's the out of town investor. Myler is also a successful player who having been at Leeds, Catalan, Wire, England etc will have contacts. I'd also imagine he might get his shirt on and play for the rest of this season at least.
There are some great stories that come out of the KuH RL soap opera. Would I swap it for us having the success of Saints and Wigan? 100%! But I would miss it.
One of the problems when we appointed Peacock as DoR was that he was a modern legend of the game who commanded instant respect. People listened when he spoke… which turned out to be unwise. Nobody is going to take Myler anywhere near that seriously. However, to be on the safe side: https://www.johnlewis.com/fisher-price- ... lsrc=aw.ds

'Thus I am tormented by my curiosity and humbled by my ignorance.' from History of an Old Bramin, The New York Mirror (A Weekly Journal Devoted to Literature and the Fine Arts), February 16th 1833.
Back to the coach. No obvious uk based candidates. I'd like us to take our time and do some proper research and appoint an experienced nrl based assistant who is chomping at the bit for a head coach role (another peter sharp). He also needs proper backing with assistants and non coaching staff including s&c and physio.
We need someone to get us fit and instill a work ethic across the team before we worry about anything g else. Be hard to score against then go from there

Seen Lee Briers mentioned a few times, no idea on what basis.

I got the impression off Sports Talk last night that if we have already drawn up candidates, we're already well into the process of finding someone. Whoever it is absolutely needs proper backing in the full cap (including marquee signings) but a full compliment of backroom staff as well. In fact, I would be quite happy if we prioritised filling up the backroom staff first over some short term signings for the rest of the season. Let the new coach and his team really assess what they are currently working with in the squad and then make the changes. Whilst I don't think that the squad is the best we've ever had, I do believe that they are capable of more than they currently give. A stronger reinforced backroom staff should bring that out of them.

Think a lot of people are just plucking names out of a hat at the moment. Assistants looking at taking their shot at a head coach role, out of work coaches etc.

This is another reason why I feel we may be further along with securing investment than Pearson is making out. We would be in a much stronger position to negotiate with potential coaches if we could guarantee them they would have some money to play with. Landing any of the potential targets eith them knowing their hands will be tied financially would be almost impossible.
