Not so sure on that. There wasn't exactly an uprising in the stands last Saturday. On the final hooter there seemed to be a collective shrug of the shoulder and we all filed quietly back out and headed home. We seem to have reached a stage where supporters were fully expecting another hammering and simply accepted it as a pre-ordained result. There appeared to be little disquiet within the ground just an acceptance of this is what we have become.
Forums, such as this one, tend to be slightly skewed in comparison to the wider fanbase who tend to have a somewhat more ambivalent attitude to what is going on at club. The people who post on here generally have heightened passions in their opinions on the club. The more general fan tends not to be quite as worked up about things as we all do on here!!
If there is an over-riding feeling surrounding the club right now, it's one of overwhelming apathy, the like of which I don't think I have ever experienced in my time supporting the club (mid-70s). It don't recall the fanbase being this apathetic even in the 90s during the ill-fated David Lloyd era. Like I said, there seems to be a stunned acceptance of how bad we are rather than any kind of fan insurrection!!
